At just 34 years old. Stonebwoy has blazed a trail as one od Africa’s most awarded and lauded artists to date. Described in high-praise terms such as ‘king’ and ‘master of his craft’ by his peers in the industry, the man has the Midas touch when it comes to the winning hit-making formula, as his many number 1 singles will testify. Gearing op to release his fifth full length album after signing an artist deal with Def Jam/Universal, the global stage is rising up to meet the talent that is Stonebwoy in 2022.

Stonebwoy, aka Livingston Satekla is no stranger to success. Having been the recipient of some high-end awards such as best international act: Africa at the BET Awards, Reggae and Dancehall Artist of the Year at the Ghana Music Awards, 4 x AFRIMMA winner, Nickelodeon Kids Choice Award winner and two Billboard plaques , he has duetted with high calibre artists such as Keri Hilson, Sean Paul, Treyz Songz, Burna Boy, Alpha Blondie and many more. He has rocked stages from the UK to the USA, Australia, Italy, Puerto Rico, Amsterdam and beyond, making his electrifying touring an integral part of his career as he leaves it all on the stage for his fans.

Pronounced ‘Stoneboy’, the artist was born in the Greater Accra region of Ghana in a family of 7 siblings and fell in love with making music from young, using drama class and music class as a vehicle to express himself in school. By the time he was ready to drop his first commercial single in 2012 he wasted no time being noticed as the tracks Climax featuring Samini and Ghetto love featuring Irene Logan exploded onto the scene. The singles garnered him nominations at the Ghana Music Awards and featured in his first album Grade 1 alongside a host of prominent Ghanaian artists.

Two years later Stonebwoy released Necessary Evil, an ambitious album of 29 tracks that included hits such as Baafire, Sneaky, Gbedegbede, Candy and Can’t Cool.

By 2017 Stonebwoy was a household name in his chosen musical genres. Much beloved by his peers, he had reached the point where artists such as Sean Paul, King Promise and Burna Boy were looking for spots on the 24-track masterpiece, The Epistles of Mama. The album peaked at #13 on the Billboard Charts Top 200 albums worldwide, going on to being rated the second-best album in the world according to Reggaeville. The album also went on to achieve over 10 million views on YouTube.

2024 saw Stonebwoy return to the studio for his 4th album, Anloga Junction. With worldwide fame came larger name duets and Keri Hilson (USA), Diamond Platnumz (Tanzania), Alicia Harley (Jamaica), Jahmiel (Jamaica), Chivv (Netherlands) and Spanker (Netherlands) were just some of the collab names on the record. Some of the producers he worked with include Mix Master Garzy, Streetbeatz, M.O.G. Beatz, Riga, iPappi and others.

2021 saw the release of his single with much beloved reggae legend Alpha Blondie, entitles Love Power, tapping into full old school reggae roots.

Alongside his slew of musical feats, there is no stopping a force such as Stonebwoy. As well as acting in movies such as Happy Death Day and My Name Is Ramadan, he is a global ambassador for sanitation and a brand ambassador for Voltic Mineral Water and Tecno Mobile Ghana. He also does philanthropic work as part of the ‘Livinstone Foundation’, educating young Africans and elevating the youth of Ghana.

2022 opens up a brand new chapter for Stonebwoy as he releases his first single with Def Jam/Universal, entitled Therapy. The single, with as red hot video to boot is essentially a love song, kicking hard with a driving beat and al the right flavour for dance floors worldwide.
